As a reader and writer, Valeria holds a BA in English Studies, a MA in Western Literature and, above all, a love for stories and community.
Deep Dive’s main aim is to bring literature to everyday life and make it accessible to readers worldwide.
Literature is not elitist
There are no “good” and “bad” books here, we do not believe in this dichotomy. Different works of literature are important to our reading experience for many different reasons, whether it is a canonical classic, a fun romance, an awarded novel, or a fanfic.
Community is essential
Although reading is, in general, an individual activity, it gains meaning when shared with others. Whether it is by sharing your opinions online, watching recommendations on your favorite BookTube channel or attending a book club, we believe reading is most beneficial when done in community.
Critical analysis can be accessible
Our attention spans are not what they used to be. Multiple stimuli are competing for our attention every minute of every day. However, that does not mean only a few can theorize and think about books. Reading–and literature–must be explored outside academic settings.
